Our History
1974
SHPE is Founded
SHPE is founded in Los Angeles by a group of Hispanic engineers and professionals.
1976
SHPE CSUN is Established
SHPE CSUN is established, bringing the vision of SHPE to CSUN’s campus.
1990s–2000s Chapter Growth
The chapter grows in membership and impact, creating programs that support students academically and professionally.
2010s
Expanding Opportunities
Expanded initiatives, stronger corporate partnerships, and more opportunities for members to lead and succeed.
Today
Continuing the Legacy
We continue to build leaders, strengthen familia, and inspire the next generation of Hispanic engineers.
